Facial Cleansers
Why are facial cleansers recommended?
Facial cleansers are essential for removing makeup, excess oils, cosmetics, dead skin cells, bacteria, and pollutants from the skin. Using a cleanser specifically formulated for the face is a better alternative to bar soap or other general cleansers. The skin's surface pH ranges between 4.5-6.5, while bar soap typically has a high pH of 9-10, which can disrupt the skin's pH balance and promote the overgrowth of bacteria, such as those causing acne. Soaps can strip the skin of its natural oils, leaving it dry and dehydrated.
When it comes to choosing a cleanser, I recommend trying IMAGE Skincare cleansers. These cleansers are formulated to address various skin issues, from acne to aging. They use AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) for anti-aging and exfoliation, and BHAs (beta hydroxy acids) to dissolve excess oil and combat bacteria. Additionally, IMAGE cleansers contain vitamins and botanicals to condition and repair the skin. Being pH balanced, these cleansers eliminate the need for toners. They should be applied to damp skin and massaged for 1-2 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water. For best results, use IMAGE cleansers twice daily, morning and night.
